In the continuing series about ebooks, today the focus will be on free Christian ebooks. Christian media has found a large outlet in a society where the morals aren’t exactly what Christians would call ideal. Christian publishing offers the believer the chance to read literature that won’t be offensive to them. This media has pushed into the realm of online ebooks.
An ebook is short for the word electronic book, and many authors have found it to be a great outlet to get their books noticed. For this reason, many authors offer a certain book for free in the hopes that the reader will want to buy more of their novels. Additionally, in the Christian medium, there are those who feel like they are doing a service to mankind by publishing books for the benefit of society.
There are also some books in the Christian genre that belong to the public domain. These are books that are classics, and were penned long before the invention of copy right laws and trademarks. For example the book Polybus by the early Christian father of the same name.
The rest of the hub is divided into the various realms of Christian literature; fiction, doctrine, and motivational.
Free Christian Ebooks: Doctrine
If you are looking to understand your faith better then these are the types of ebooks for you. The Christian doctrine is a vast one that sometime might be confusing. So get the guidance of the scholars in your field and arm yourself with knowledge to deepen your faith and strengthen your convictions.
GlobalChristians.org has a huge database of doctrinally based books for download. The nice thing about this website is that it is subdivided further into different categories that match what you are looking for. For example they have a bible study section, a ministry and theology section, and a Christian living ethics and social issues section. All you have to do is click on the book that you want and the download begins almost immediately.
Monergism.com also has a very large database of free Christian ebooks. On this site each book is listed by author. It seems that most of the books on this site are limited to doctrinal commentary and interpretation. You can easily access authors from Calvin to Edersheim. This site requires a little more digging if you are looking for a specific topic, if you are looking for a specific author it does very well.
Brothersoft.com offers a free download of the Holy Bible. You can find a free version of the Bible on many numerous sites. The nice thing about this site is that you don’t have to register in order to download the Bible like other sites I went to. On this site all you have to do is click and download.
Freecatholicbooks.com offers nice resources for those of the Catholic faith. This website has 20 pages of books, each having 12 books per page. This site includes everything from doctrinal commentary, to classics (like Dante’s Inferno), to biographies (like of Mother Theresa). These documents open up in PDF, so you better of Acrobat reader.
NTSLirary.org also has a wide array of doctrinal books, from apologetics to theology and worship. This website is organized topically, once you click on the topic then you gain access to the various books that they have available.
Free Christian Ebooks: Fiction
There aren’t too many places offering free Christian fiction ebooks. This surprised me, because the industry is so big, I would have thought that there were some authors who would be trying to break into the niche with free literature.
Christianmedia.us has a limited selection of fiction ebooks. And these are mostly books that would fall into the classical category. For example the Time Machine by HG Wells, or Ben Hur by Lee Wallace. This site has four pages of various books for downloadFree Christian Ebooks: For Ebook Readers
Another option that you have to download free Christian ebooks is to use an ebook reader. I only have the Kindle, but I am sure that the other ebook readers work in the same way. The nice thing about Kindle is that you are more likely to find free Christian fiction ebooks available. This is partly because of the author wants to get noticed, and partly because the ebook industry wants their devices to succeed.
Regardless the reader is the winner in it all. I have a series of photos showing how I would get to a free Christian ebook using the Amazon Kindle. I will type out what I would do here:
· Go to the online shopping store
· Type in the word Christian
· Look at the various books and see which ones are free
· Buy the book, and then it will show up on your homepage
I know it is a little more time consuming searching this way than online, but it seems to be the only place that I could find contemporary Christian ebooks for free.
Free Christian Ebooks: Motiviational
These are motivational Christian ebooks. They focus more on bringing one closer to God through personal spirituality (as opposed to the intellectual pursuit of understanding doctrine).
Christianfreebies.com has a wide array of help for the Christian soul type books. Titles include the Sword of Peace, and the Secret Place. All the titles on this site are to help bring you closer to Diety.
Jesus.org.uk has a few motivational ebooks. They mainly have doctrinal books, but there is a handful of motivational books as well. The link provided takes you to the motivational ebooks.

Another source for some free christian ebooks is www.christianbook.com They add to their free books quite frequently and have a lot of good Christian fiction.
